Conditions

The Teton flows near normal levels with clear water, shifting from a meadow character in the upper reaches to canyon water with whitewater below Harrop's Bridge. As of September 26, flows were running 497 cfs and rising. The fall hatch window is strong: Spotted Sedge caddis, Blue-winged olives, October Caddis, Pale Morning duns, and stoneflies including Salmonflies and Golden Stoneflies are active, along with terrestrials like ants, beetles, and grasshoppers. Work soft edges and banks with heavier tippet and weighted nymphs, and consider patterns matching the season's robust insect activity.

Access

Good access exists but plan for hiking. Boat fishing is viable with proper water levels, and pontoon craft work better than drift boats in most sections.
