A few Mahogany duns and October caddis out and that should increase over the next few weeks
Conditions
The Saint Joe is holding at low water near 365 cfs but continues to fish well as summer transitions to fall. Focus on deeper runs, shaded banks, and pocket water where current feeds into deeper holding zones. Mornings tend to be sluggish, but afternoon and evening action picks up, and middle-of-day fishing can outperform summer peak hours. Smaller patterns and lighter tippet pay dividends in these lower flows. Expect a mixed hatch of caddis, mahogany duns, October caddis, mayflies, ants, beetles, and grasshoppers, making a dry-dropper rig a solid approach to cover the variety.
