The lower half particularly shines with steady PMD hatches typically starting 1–2 PM into a solid evening spinner fall; mornings favor midges and smaller BWOs. Hoppers and beetles work well on dropper rigs for added versatility. As of August 26, water temperature was 76 degrees, which is in the thermal stress zone—consider fishing dawn or targeting cooler riffles and tributary mouths to protect fish, and plan on nymphing low and slow during the warmest midday hours.
