Henrys Fork of the Snake River fishing report

Clear water and eased flows are opening up the Railroad Ranch meadow for solid wading on the Henrys Fork. As of August 26, flows were running 1,290 cfs—down from earlier-month peaks—keeping seams tight and banks accessible. Expect textbook late-summer action: work ants and hoppers along grassy undercut banks from late morning through midday, then transition to Pale Morning Duns through early afternoon. Evening brings light caddis and Baetis into dusk. Nymph with tungsten patterns during lower-light windows and switch to terrestrial dries when you spot feeding activity along the banks.
