Conditions

The Sacramento is fishing well across both upper and lower sections as October weather settles in. Salmon spawning in the lower reaches is drawing healthy rainbows eager for eggs and BWO patterns, with hatchery steelhead showing downstream around Jellys Ferry. The lower section holds steady at 6,000 CFS from Keswick with no planned changes. Upstream, October Caddis are coming off alongside baetis and midges, bringing fish from the lake as temperatures cool. Fish throughout are responsive to nymphs and streamers.
