South Fork Snake River

Summer hatches are firing across the South Fork—expect Mutant Stones, PMDs, Yellow Sallies, caddis, hoppers, and terrestrials throughout the day. At 66°F, water temps support active fish and a solid mix of dries and nymphs will work. As of August 26, flows were running 5,930 cfs at Lorenzo with stable conditions and overcast skies. Access remains plentiful from Palisades Dam downstream through Lorenzo.
