Flows have settled around 5,950 cfs as of August 26, opening up new riffle and wade opportunities across the South Fork. Golden Stones, PMDs, and Caddis are on the water, with terrestrials like hoppers, ants, and beetles playing a bigger role as summer heat builds. Fish are educated and selective, demanding technical dry-fly work. Consider focusing your efforts early and late in the day before weekend warmth pushes the best fishing to dawn and dusk.

  • Dry dropper rigs have been really good with Golden Stone or hopper up top with a nymph trailing behind.
  • Nymphing has been very good: small PMD nymphs, Caddis nymphs, and smaller stonefly nymphs are all producing.
