Silver Creek is running clear at 93 cfs and 67°F as of August 26—normal and stable for early August, ideal for methodical dry-fly and nymph work. Pale Morning Duns are heavy from 8–11 AM; target them with small tungsten nymphs (#20), then switch to Blue-Winged Olive patterns (#22) in the early morning. Evening caddis (6–8 PM) bring solid feeding; consider tan and olive CDC versions fished near weed edges and current breaks. Afternoon wind will build, so plan your best fishing before conditions deteriorate. Approach from downstream, stay low, and fish long 12-foot leaders tapered to 6X or 7X—these trout spook easily in gin-clear water.
