Conditions
The Saint Joe is responding well to recent cooling and improving conditions. Flows have climbed from extremely low levels, as of September 10, the gauge at Calder read 510 cfs and rising, giving trout more room to work and anglers better wading. A mixed hatch of blue wing olives, mahogany duns, and October caddis is underway, with terrestrials productive around grassy and brushy banks. Smaller mayfly and caddis patterns also draw strikes during calmer periods.
