As of August 11, flows held steady at 8,230 CFS near Porthill with water temps at 59°F—prime conditions for rainbows, cutthroats, bull trout, and occasional browns averaging 12–16 inches. Grasshoppers and terrestrials are abundant and effective, while evening caddis emerge offer a reliable hatch window to target.
