Conditions

Extra water from Lake Coeur d'Alene is pushing fish out of summer lies into riffles, tailouts, and deeper pools. As of September 27, flows near Post Falls were running 1,130 cfs and rising. Look for sporadically rising fish making aggressive, splashy takes. Caddis, Pseudo-baetis, Hecuba mayflies, and BWOs are active, so consider small nymphs and emerger patterns in orange and olive.
