Salmon River

Both upper and lower sections of the Salmon are fishing well heading into early September. Expect mayflies, caddis, and hoppers on the water throughout the week. Nymphing stays productive for whitefish and fills gaps during slower dry fly periods. Flows are running normal at 4,190 cfs as of September 4, with water temps around 64°F — prime conditions for the season. Partly cloudy skies and light precipitation in the forecast should keep things cool and manageable.
