Conditions
Clear water and normal flows are setting up well for both Chinook salmon and resident trout through late September. As of September 28, flows were running at 3,740 cfs with water temperature at 62°F and overcast skies overhead. Target first light (6:30 AM-9:30 AM) with egg and poacher patterns in deeper tailouts where salmon are staging, then switch to small olive and midge patterns (11 AM-2 PM) when trout are rising in slower glides. Evening caddis along the banks (4 PM-6 PM) rounds out a full day of options.
