Saint Joe River

Outstanding summer dry-fly fishing is happening on the St. Joe with falling water settling fish into predictable feeding lanes. Hopper season is in full swing, and beetles, ants, and terrestrials are producing well alongside Yellow Sallies and caddis. As of August 26, flows were running 358 cfs at Calder—much below normal and stable. Fish early and late to make the most of cooler hours, and work both pocket water and predictable feeding lanes with the right patterns.
