Henrys Lake is fishable in early August, but the warm season demands local knowledge. Cold water springs scattered around the lake are key to finding active fish, having a boat or float tube to reach them makes a real difference. Balanced leeches, chronomids, and cocktail nymphs work best when you can locate these cooler pockets. The lake tends to fish better in shoulder seasons when water temperatures are more moderate throughout.
