Salmon Region
Low, clear conditions and warm water temperatures demand early and late fishing on the Salmon right now. Terrestrials and smaller dries dominate from dawn through evening, with nymphing a solid option in the heat of the day.

Fast, elevated flows push the South Fork's fish tight to cover, making float fishing the smart play. Grasshoppers and terrestrials lead the daytime bite, but expect a short productive window before afternoon heat and smoke shut things down.

Cold tailwater from Dworshak Dam is bringing early steelhead into the lower Clearwater, with excellent water temperatures and high flows favoring small hair-wing and skated patterns.

The Henrys Fork's lower section is fishing well with stable flows around 1300 cfs. Hoppers and Chubbies are producing.
