South Fork is running 4,120 cfs at normal levels with stable flow and clear skies through Friday. Rain and cloud cover arrive Saturday, pushing mayfly hatches and aggressive streamer fishing.

Low reservoir levels and dropping flows have made nymphing and dry-dropper tactics the go-to approach on the South Fork right now.

Low flows at 159 cfs have stabilized on the Henrys Fork with Blue Wing Olives hatching. Fish have concentrated in deeper channels as weed beds expose, making precise placement and attractor patterns more effective.

The South Fork is slightly off-color with moss, but fish are feeding actively on small bugs along foam lines. Small Baetis patterns and midges will do the work.

The Henrys Fork runs gin-clear at 159 cfs with fish on high alert, so low and slow is the move. Best dry fly action arrives midday when Mahogany Duns and Blue-Winged Olives are most active.

Clear water and moderate flows have the South Fork concentrating fish along cutbanks and seams, with Mahogany Duns and Blue Wing Olives driving the midday bite.

Flows around 4,100 cfs have opened up wade access and slowed float times. Fish are working slower banks and foam lines on BWOs and Mahoganies.
