Half pounders are moving through the mid-river sections in pods while few adults are present above Happy Camp through Iron Gate. Salmon are actively spawning in the Tree of Heaven area. Note that the river is closed above Iron Gate to below the Oregon border, so focus your effort on accessible lower sections where moving fish and spawning activity offer the best opportunity.
