Conditions

Water temperature sits at 62°F with flows running very low and falling, the gauge near Lorenzo showed 2,560 cfs as of September 16, a tightening from earlier reports. Mahoganies and BWOs are active, especially on overcast days, and hoppers and terrestrials work well in afternoons. Consider nymphs like Parachute Pheasant Tails, Tunghead Pheasant Tails, and TH Skinny Quill Nymphs, or terrestrial patterns like Schroeder's Parachute Hopper and Pat's Rubberlegs. Fish early morning and during overcast stretches for best results; access is solid at multiple points including Palisades Dam, Huskys, Irwin, Spring Creek Bridge, Conant, Cottonwood, Heise, Wolf Flats, Byington, and Lorenzo.
