Pitzen knot
Line to fly in 0.25 min.
Also called Eugene bend, Eugene knot, 16-20 knot
A small, strong tippet-to-fly knot that seats with a felt click and holds well in fine tippet and fluorocarbon. Trout anglers use it in place of the improved clinch on light tippets.

How to tie it
Step 1: Thread the tippet through the hook eye and bring the tag back under the standing line, leaving about 4" of tag.
Step 2: Hook the line around your index fingertip to hold a small loop, then wind the tag down around both parallel strands four times, working toward the eye.
Step 3: Pass the tag end back through the small loop held by your finger.
Step 4: Pull the tag gently to close the wraps on the standing line, then wet the knot.
Step 5: Slide the knot down to the hook eye with your fingertips rather than by pulling the standing line, then pull tight until it clicks and the tag points forward almost parallel to the standing line.
Step 6: Trim the tag.
