How to tie it

1. 1

   Step 1: Lay the leader butt along the tip of the fly line so the leader's end points up the fly line, overlapping about eight inches.

   Step 2: Bend the leader's end back to make a loop lying along the fly line, and pinch it there.

3. 3

   Step 3: Wind the leader's end around the fly line and both legs of the loop six times, working toward the fly line's tip.

4. 4

   Step 4: Pass the end back through the loop and pinch the wraps in place.

5. 5

   Step 5: Pull the leader's end to draw the loop closed under the wraps, then pull both leader ends hard to bite into the fly line. Trim the fly line tip and the tag.
