Harvey dry fly knot
Line to fly in 0.5 min.
Also called George Harvey dry fly knot, Harvey knot
George Harvey's knot for dry flies on up-eye or down-eye hooks: the wraps slide back over the eye so the fly sits straight on the tippet instead of tilting. Not meant for straight-eye hooks.

How to tie it
Step 1: Push the tag end through the hook eye and pull through about 4" of tippet, bringing the tag back toward the standing line.
Step 2: Holding the standing line and tag just in front of the fly, make a small loop around the standing line, then a second loop of the same size, and pinch the two loops together.
Step 3: Pass the tag end through both loops twice, making two wraps through them.
Step 4: Wet the knot, hold the hook by the bend and pull the standing line so the two loops slide back and pop over the hook eye.
Step 5: Check that the knot sits on the thread wraps behind the eye with the fly in line with the tippet, then trim the tag.
