Davy knot
Line to fly in 0.25 min.
Also called Davy Wotton knot
A tiny, fast fly knot that uses almost no tippet, made of a half hitch locked behind the eye. Anglers use it to change small dries and nymphs quickly on fine tippet.

How to tie it
Step 1: Pass 3 to 4 inches of tippet through the hook eye.
Step 2: Bring the tag end under the standing line and back over it to form a loose overhand loop just ahead of the eye.
Step 3: Pass the tag end back through that loop between the overhand and the hook eye.
Step 4: Hold the tag end against the eye and pull the standing line to seat the knot, with the tag lying against the eye under the knot.
Step 5: Trim the tag without pulling on it.
