Bobber stopper knot
On the line (friction) in 0.5 min.
Also called stopper knot, bobber stop knot, stop knot, slip float stop
A small knot tied around the line from a separate short piece of line or Dacron. It grips the line and stops a slip float or a bead from sliding past it, and can be slid along the line to move the stop.

How to tie it
Step 1: Cut a short piece of line or Dacron for the stop. NetKnots uses about 6 inches, often the same diameter as the main line.
Step 2: Lay it along the main line where the stop should sit, then fold it back on itself to form a loop.
Step 3: Pinch the point where it crosses itself and the main line.
Step 4: Wrap the tag end around both lines two or three times, passing through the loop on each wrap.
Step 5: Pull the two ends in opposite directions to cinch the knot on the main line, then trim them.
