Alberto knot
Braid to line in 1.5 min.
Also called crazy Alberto knot, Alberto
Alberto Knie's stronger take on the Albright, used to join braid or thin mono to a heavier mono or fluorocarbon leader. It handles big differences in diameter and material and stays slim enough to run through the guides.

How to tie it
Step 1: Double the end of the leader into a loop about 1.5" long and pass 8" to 10" of the main line (braid) through it.
Step 2: Pinch the loop and main line together and wrap the braid tag around both leader strands seven times, working away from the loop end.
Step 3: Wrap the tag back toward the loop seven times, laying these wraps over the first ones.
Step 4: Pass the tag back out through the leader loop on the same side it went in, so both braid ends exit together.
Step 5: Wet the knot, pull all four ends to snug the wraps, then pull the two standing lines hard to seat it and trim both tags.
