Skylar Tibbetts is a river guide with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest and extensive experience across multiple major river systems. She began her professional guiding career on the Wenatchee River in the Cascades before expanding her expertise to longer expeditions on the Deschutes River in Oregon and the Yampa River and Gates of Lodore section of the Green River on the Colorado Plateau. Recently returning to her home landscape in the Northwest, she brings both technical river knowledge and a creative perspective to her work, having earned her MFA in creative nonfiction writing from the University of Montana. Off the water, she pursues her passions for reading, writing, biking, and music.
