Sarrah guides on the Salmon River, the ancestral lands of the Nez Perce and Shoshone Bannock, bringing over two decades of paddling experience that began in childhood. Originally from Colorado, she developed her deep connection to rivers while paddling in Northern Quebec and Ontario before transitioning to raft and kayak guiding. Based in White Salmon, Washington, Sarrah integrates her background in gender studies, trauma-informed education, and nature-based psychology to create inclusive spaces where paddlers can forge meaningful connections with water, land, and community. Beyond guiding, she is a midwifery student and nonprofit professional dedicated to supporting land and river-based learning for Native youth, viewing rivers as essential spaces for reflection, stewardship, and building relationships that inspire care for wild places and the communities that depend on them.
