Randall Eggert has called Boise home since arriving in 1995 to pursue a bachelor's degree in biology education at Boise State University, where he also discovered his passion for whitewater adventures and outdoor pursuits. His love of the wilderness extends across whitewater rafting and kayaking, climbing, backcountry skiing, backpacking, and mountain biking, complemented by his 2021 thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada—a five-month journey that deepened his connection to the natural world. Beyond guiding, Randall remains committed to environmental education and strives to honor the trail name he earned during his PCT adventure:
