Nicholas James Minor grew up in Boise, Idaho, where his father introduced him to fishing on the South Fork of the Boise River, Salmon River, and Owyhee River beginning at age seven. He developed his river skills early, learning to row boats by age sixteen. After high school, his passion for fishing led him on an exploratory journey through Eastern Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana in search of the ideal guiding location. He found his home at Three Rivers Ranch, where he completed guide school and launched his full-time guiding career in 2005. Nick is particularly drawn to the Henry's Fork for its excellent dry-fly fishing, robust populations of wild rainbow and brown trout, and spectacular scenery. He currently resides in Boise and spends his leisure time pursuing fishing, water aerobics, golfing, and following college football.
