Duncan Swersey grew up in Salmon, Idaho in a family of outfitters and has been experiencing river trips since age four. A formative swamping experience on the Middle Fork Salmon inspired his ambition to become a sweep boat captain, a goal he has pursued since 2011. He works as a seasonal full-time instructor for Sun Valley during winter months and spends his warm seasons guiding in the Frank Church Wilderness. Beyond his work on the water, Duncan pursues his passion for the outdoors through skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, kayaking, hunting, and paddling, while bringing warmth to every trip through attentive customer service and music around the campfire.
