Dane Cook relocated to Idaho in 1990 and spent over three decades with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game before retiring and transitioning to guide work. Based in the Salmon area since 2000, he now leads whitewater and fishing expeditions through a local outfitter, offering guests half-day scenic trips, summer trout fishing, fall and spring steelhead opportunities, and classic whitewater adventures. Cook finds particular fulfillment in sharing the rivers and landscapes he knows intimately with visitors discovering the region for the first time.
