Cayla Y Sanderson grew up in Page, Arizona, where her family's frequent summers on the Colorado River and Lake Powell fostered a deep appreciation for water and the outdoors. After earning her bachelor's degree in Geography from Portland State University, she relocated to Idaho in 2013 to pursue river guiding, a calling she has maintained ever since. She is driven by the opportunity to share the raw beauty of natural landscapes with others through her work on the water. Beyond guiding, Cayla enjoys kayaking, exploring her adopted home of Salmon, Idaho, and creating visual art.
