Calvin McGowan is co-owner of McGowan Outfitting Inc. alongside his wife Jenna, bringing extensive expertise to guiding operations throughout Idaho's wilderness regions. A Challis native who earned a Biology degree following high school, he spent formative years as a wildland firefighter with the Boise BLM Smokejumpers, gaining experience across the American West and Alaska before returning home to guide in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness and the White Cloud, Lemhi, and Pahsimeroi Mountains. As an accomplished guide dedicated to sharing his passions with clients worldwide, Calvin remains actively engaged in the field year-round, scouting new locations and leading hunters and fishermen throughout Idaho's premier backcountry destinations.
