Blake King serves as a sweep driver and manager for Helfrich River Outfitters, bringing decades of expertise to wilderness expeditions in Idaho's backcountry. His deep connection to the Middle Fork of the Salmon River and Frank Church Wilderness spans his personal, professional, and recreational pursuits, honed through extensive experience navigating large boats through challenging rapids, leading pack strings across remote alpine meadows, and accessing wilderness areas via small aircraft. Beyond his technical skills on the water and in the mountains, Blake excels at creating welcoming experiences for guests across diverse environments, with a particular appreciation for preparing meals in pristine outdoor settings. Based in North Fork, Idaho, where he and his partner Sadie King are building a riverside home, Blake combines his lifetime of backcountry knowledge with a genuine commitment to helping people feel at ease and thrive during their wilderness adventures.
