Auriona East brings years of river guiding experience spanning Florida, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, and international locations. During summer months, she guides on the Salmon River, while spending the rest of the year working as a high school educator teaching English, Spanish, and sex education to young people and adults. Beyond her work on the water and in the classroom, she is an accomplished artist and musician, pursuing interests in pottery, block printing, singing, and guitar. Auriona returns to the river annually because of the deep sense of belonging it provides and her passion for helping guests discover that same feeling of home on the water.
