Conditions
The Selway is running at 495 cfs near Lowell with flows dropping through early October. Fish are concentrating in deeper pockets and riffles where they hold in the tighter water. Blue-wing olives are becoming more active as temperatures cool, making them a solid choice alongside traditional dry-dropper rigs and small attractors. Clear skies and light wind should make for good visibility on the water.

Techniques
- Focus on deeper pockets, riffles with some depth, and runs with enough current to give fish cover
- A dry-dropper setup is a good way to prospect. Smaller attractors, caddis and mayflies are all worth carrying, and blue-wing olives should become more important as the weather continues cooling
