Conditions

Fishing is very good on the North Fork Clearwater right now. The Black Canyon section remains closed due to the Moose Mountain Fire for the likely remainder of the year, but the upper section, Hidden Creek area, and lower section are all accessible. As of October 4, flows are stable at 679 cfs with water temperature at 54 degrees. Streamer fishing is producing well, and nymph fishing under chubby chernobyl indicators is worth pursuing.
