Lochsa River fishing report

Clear water at fall flows makes the Lochsa rewarding if you're selective about your water choices. As of October 16, flows were running 376 cfs near Lowell. Trout are holding deep in structured areas, so focus on deeper pockets and runs rather than spreading effort across the entire river. Small mayflies and caddis may appear on top, but nymphs and small streamers will be more consistent throughout the day.
