Eggs

Fish eggs are a seasonal feast: salmon, steelhead and spawning trout drop them in fall and winter, and suckers spawn in spring as the water warms. Trout hold below the spawning gravel to eat the eggs that drift loose, so an egg pattern can outfish every bug on the water.
