South Fork Coeur d'Alene River

The lower and canyon sections of the South Fork fish consistently even at strong summer flows. As water levels drop, fish will move into newly exposed holding water near the edges—consider heavier line and bigger attractors to reach them. The upper section demands solid nymph work but remains fishable with proper rigs. Salmonflies, PMDs, pinks, and sallies are active.
