Seeing some PMDs and caddis just about everyday.
Conditions
Above Lava Hot Springs, the Portneuf is in excellent shape with PMDs and caddis showing nearly daily. As of August 26, flows were running 42 cfs at Pocatello with a falling trend and stable forecast. Fish are rising to larger foam dries, so don't shy away from surface presentations. Consider hopper-dropper rigs to cover both the top and subsurface.
